I have many birthdays in March and April, so I stay busy making cards during these two months! I want to share with you the birthday cards I made for my mother, sister, and my dear friend Nuria from Barcelona. I decided to use Magnolia Tilda for the cards, as she is so darling and versatile. I used Copic markers to color Tilda.
This is the card I made for my mother....
... and for my sister.....
... and for my friend Nuria!
Oh, D. these are just wonderful! They are soft and feminine. Each one has its own personality. I love what you wrote on the front. Those are such heartfelt sentiments. Welcome to the Blogosphere! You're off to a wonderful start!

Hello Chris,
DeleteThank you for your lovely commments - it means a lot to me! I'm not new to coloring, but am new to Magnolia, so I'm still feeling my way around her.
congratulations on a very beautiful site. I think you have chosen a lovely title.. It reminds me of a much gentler era.

Hi DonnaKae,
DeleteApril Violets has a story...it's actually the name of a fragrance by Yardley of London, and was discontinued many years ago. This was my favorite scent when I was a young girl, and it invokes many memories for me. Every now and then someone will come out with a reproduction, but it's never the same and is very diluted. Thank you for your comp0liments on my blog!
Very nice blog choice, I love the pic of Mary and Jesus. Your cards are very beautiful also, looking forward to seeing more.
ReplyDeleteHi Kelly,
DeleteThank you for dropping by.... your comments mean a lot to me! I have also seen your cards, and I like them very much; one of these days I may ask you for advice LOL!
Your cards are beautiful ..... As always! I'm sure the recipients were thrilled when they opened their mail and saw these little cuties looking up at them!!!
ReplyDeleteHey Terri,
DeleteThank you very much... and yes - my mother, Anabel, and Nuria were delighted with Tilda LOL!
These are just lovely! I especially love the first one!
ReplyDeleteRene :D
Hello Rene,
DeleteThank you for your kind words....Magnolias are recent for me, and I just started coloring them to make cards just earlier this year. For the time being, I am depending more on the design print of the background paper, and adding simple touches, like the pearls. Maybe soon I will experiment with more embellishments, like so many of the cards I see have LOL!
very lovely!
ReplyDeleteWOW this is FANTASTIC! Your cards are all gorgeous and you have a nice blog! Welcome to blogland! I will become a new follower!

Hi Suzan,
DeleteTHANK YOU for your compliments! For the time being, I seem to gravitate towards using designer print papers as backgrounds, and adding a touch or two.
Damarys, your cards are gorgeous. Your mother, sister and friend are going to be so happy to receive them. Adorable Tildas and beautifully coloured. Your DP's are lovely.
